hey man.. welcome abord.. i talked to you way back on the other boards.. hows your monster doing now? last i peeked at your progress you were selling the set up you had and going big time with it.
my basic question is.. i have a to4e that im looking to poss fab up to mine.. how is this in comparison size wise to the stg 1 stuff in the kits? i looked at a few and they were t25 etc.. also this being water and oil fed would the coolant lines go on the return side or feed side? not really looking to go crazy.. but i figure i have most of what i would need to do it and am more than able to fab up what i dont have. it already has a internal waste gate that im sure i can bring down to @5psi or so.

what trim and a/r is it? If its small it will work for a stage one setup. We don't use the water stuff on bikes. it was designed for underhood heat soak. since we don't have the heat of an engine compartment it isn't needed.

your going to want to convert it to a external gate. these motors create so much air velocity at high rpm the gates tent to fail or creep.

I run a stage 2 setup now with 4 60lb injectors and a standalone injector driver. we call it a piggyback system because as soon as you say standalone people think it runs everything. The Microtech only runs the extra injectors and gets a signal from the tach and has a 3 bar map sensor.

I assume your going with a Begi 2025 setup? Buy it from Corky direct. Good guy and if you have any trouble he will get on the phone and talk to you. (ive actually done it so I know ) lots of fakes out there and not worth risking your motor to save 100 bucks.

you know how to set up all the vacuum lines and such?

hey man.. whats a begi set up? im good with all the vac hoses and such.. i do a shit load of high performance stuff and have done tons of forced induction projects. i was basicly just going to go out and fab everything up in my spare time. i have to double check what the a/r is on this one i have to do a few mods to it. i actually took it off a acura rdx ( as i looked at it for the a/r i noticed it was actually a tdo4 not a reg to4 ) at work and figured i already had it so i would see what i could do with it..lol

hey luke, we have had a few dramas with the begi fmu's lately. i eventually got the shits with it a got a turbosmart unit, heaps smaller and seems to do the job ok. got a turbosmart eboost 2 as well, that is a great bit of gear, wouldnt own a modded turbo vehicle without one now, we couldnt ride the busa we did at 16lb till we knocked the boost back in the first 3 gears, gets off the line heaps better now.

yea they arent the best but they work. I kept pushing the boost and would run into problems with it. The nature with the reves and the speed of these motors is too much for the begi IMO.

With that said it does work great up to about 6psi when you only onset about 40psi. Other than that your going to be in for a tuning nightmare.

Eboost 2 is a super nice unit. outside the AMS-1000 it come in number 2. I run a ams 500 Co2 powered with stages setup on buttons. its about to go to 11psi in first and 20 the rest of the gears
